    Google building its own tablet!

Google's Android Tablet: How Might It Be Different? | PCWorld

Yet who is going to actually make it? Google does software, not hardware...

I'm going to guess Motorola, especially since Motorola Mobility was bought by Google.

Google wants to own the world.

All these tablets are standard parts, like leggos, just assembled differently.
So it is relatively easy to make another "brand" at the same level of technology that the others have, IMHO.

So the brand one with their shell (case), and always get android out to it first, and now they have the "best working" Android tablet.

And they will I assume tie it better into their other offerings also- SMART BUSINESS PEOPLE

This might be a planned move against some of the other tablet manufacturers planning to go into Windows 8 tablets next year/year after. In order to keep a major Android presence on the market.

Google's Motorola Mobility takeover: EU delays ruling

Google says its takeover of Motorola will strengthen its patent portfolio
Continue reading the main story Related Stories

Google's takeover of Motorola Mobility faces a delay after EU regulators suspended their review of the deal.
The European Commission has revealed that it halted the approval process last week, and requested more information.
Motorola split in two earlier this year. Google subsequently offered $12.5bn in August for the part that makes phones and tablet computers.
The EU has the power to block the tie-up or demand that it be amended.
The takeover will give Google access to more than 17,000 of Motorola Mobility's patents.
    Chief executive Larry Page
has said the move will "enable us to better protect Android from anti-competitive threats from Microsoft, Apple and other companies".
Last week Motorola Mobility won the first round of a separate patent battle against Apple in Germany's courts. That could potentially give Google leverage to negotiate a wider settlement.

    don't do!!!
That is why I am spending the money to get the Galaxy Nexus GSM right after Christmas, with HTC being pushed by Apple and hoping ICS will be released for my Inspire, with the Nexus I am assured of getting all updates first!!! A little bit of money but well worth the cost.
