Will it boot into recovery? Holding the Volume+ button down while pressing the power button?
Found my signature file, but it appears to be empty...

if mcarver2000 don't work try and pull both battery's out for 5 minutes or so then reinstall them and see if it will boot.

It may come down to a factory reset if needed.

Twice over the last two days my thrive has frozen. I was able to hold the button down and shut it off then I attempted reboot it seemed to get stuck in the boot animation. I pulled the main in battery and booted without the battery. It booted after a longer then normal boot animation. I turned it off, put the battery back, it booted. Then it froze again but I w able to shut down and boot normally. I'm still a little leery about it. Maybe something is amiss.

if you hold the power button down long enough it should cut off.

The long reboot time may have had to do with the rebuilding of the dalvik cache. Though perhaps it's time to look at moving up to the latest rooted ROM (.0003). Which of course will wipe your system, but this ROM/build seems to be the best Toshiba has rolled out.
