Cool DVD Catalyst Give Away - Get DVD Catalyst 4 for free !

    Merry Christmas everyone

I wanted to do something special this year, and while working on this week's newsletter, I figured what better than to do a Give Away?

Because I do want to offer the people who are already using DVD Catalyst 4 a chance to win as well as new people, the winners who are already purchased DVD Catalyst will get a full refund through PayPal.

You have until Thursday Dec 29th, 2011, 6PM US Central Time to enter for the Give Away, after which I'll be digging through the comments I received to give out 25 free copies of DVD Catalyst 4.

    Here is how it works:

    Forums:

This thread can be found on a couple of Forum Foundry forums, (Xoom forums, Kindle Fire forums, Galaxy Nexus forums, Transformer forums, Droid forums, DroidX forums and Android Tablet forums and THRIVE Forums of course)

Simply reply in any of these threads (more than one is fine) and give me a scenario of why you watch video on your phone/tablet.

    Facebook:

    http://www.facebook.com/pages/Tools4Movies/201152776565025

You can also enter for the Give Away through our Face Book page. A post similar to this one can be found on there. Simply comment on that with your video watching scenario.

    Google+:

    https://plus.google.com/u/0/116750894987781701156/posts

And of course you can use Google+ as well. A similar post can be found on my Google+, and just comment with your video watching scenario there.

On the evening of Thursday Dec. 29, 2011, I'll be picking winners from the responses I have received. Remember, the deadline for entry is at 6PM US CST on that day.

    Rules:

Rules for the forum responses, in order to not just have people sign up on the forums to enter for the Give Away, you will need to have a post-count of 5 or more by the time the DVD Catalyst Give Away ends (Thursday Dec. 29, at 6PM US Central Time).

If you describe your video scenario, please use a bit more than just "on the train". Detailed, colorful or funny responses desired

    Ending:

The winners will be announced in next week's newsletter (Newsletter 36), so if you see your name there, send me an email to claim your free copy of DVD Catalyst 4, or to get your purchase price back through PayPal.

    Note:

Please use this thread only for the give-away. If you have questions regarding DVD Catalyst, please use the DVD Catalyst section on these forums, or start a new thread rather than posting your questions here.

So I can post here for the give-away? Even though this Forum was not linked (are we being overlooked?).

I watch videos on my tablet because I like the privacy and portability. I can watch something on the tablet while my wife watches something else on our TV. Gives both of us freedom and we can still be near each other while we both do two different things.

[let me know if this needs to go somewhere else to be eligible -- tnx]

I would like dvd catalyst. I travel a lot as a part of my job (as a merchant mariner), and I use my tablet a lotwhile traveling.

Also, onboard the ship, I use it tons, while in my room watching videos/games,etc...

But I also would use it when I'm manning the local control station in the engine room while maneuvering or during other evolutions that require manned stations. So I can be "catching up on technical publications"

First let me say that if I were to win, I wouldn't want my money back. I would want another copy! I love DVD Catalyst and I say it was money well spent. I appreciate developers that provide a quality product at a very reasonable price. I am certain one of my friends and family would enjoy using this tool.

You asked about sharing our video usage. I love being able to put a bunch of movies on a thumb drive and being able to watch wherever and whenever I want. It makes any wait seem much shorter too. I have inspirational clips that I will watch that I am sure makes me more healthy. At least it makes me feel better. ;-) I also like to have instructional video. I can have my thrive or phone right next to me to refer to and follow the directions. Very helpful for this 1/2 century + old gal.

I also use the thrive video capability to show clients shows that I've produced for them. It is handy to be able to put a show on a thumb drive and not even need wifi.

Watching this forum DVD Catalyst sure seems the way to go!. I've been able to rip and convert some videos but using this program would sure make it easier and better. I am a Surgeon and use my Thrive for education (both mine and the patients') and for entertainment while traveling and at home. Finally it's great to see a Dev. so committed to his product and your attention to our forums, keep up the great work.

Yeah. Its good stuff. I learned about it quite a while back. It has been a life saver more times than I can remember. Once I used my evo to login to my PC while in a layover in la and was able to easily convert a new movie download. And sent it to my dropbox for me to stream and enjoy while waiting. Turned what looked like a nightmarish delay with nothing to do into an enjoyable experience for me and my two nephews. Not only did they get to learn some new technical stuff, I got some peace and quiet with the both huddled together to watch shrek2. Most games are single player. And creates fights. Catalyst = harmony.

I'm just starting to look at my various videos, movies, tv and find compatibility issues. This is especially true when using my LG smart tv as a 'player' with DLNA app such as Skifta on the Thrive. It would be slick to try.
