    playing .mov video

    just brought the thrive home today, so far, so good. cannot figure how to play .mov on it. must have for work. any ideas gratefully appreciated

    thanks, but shouldnt the included media player do that?

    No. It only needs to do what it was made to do when you bought and first inspected it's abilities. Besides, MOV is a Mac specific file format (QuickTime). I don't blame anyone for not supporting a file format with a minority mindshare even if Apple supports it on Windows, etc. If officially added later that's a plus but it's hardly expected behavior outside the iDevice range IMO.

    goonanc, you might also look at MoboPlayer. You can find it in the market, and I'm pretty sure it also plays .mov files. BTW, those are Apple QuickTime movie files.
