Lightbulb Android 7.x - Nougat possible?

I've seen that many old devices are able to run Android 7.0. I managed to install CM14 with Android 7.1.2 on a hand me down Samsung Galaxy S4 and is now my current phone. My old Motorola Moto G can also run this ROM and I'll flash it soon.

So that got me thinking if it were possible to install 7.x on our Thrives. I understand that there has to be some development for that to happen if it's possible. I am prepared to lend my Thrive for the cause of necessary. I still believe in this ol' gal. The available ports, removable battery and big screen is something I've never seen on any other tablet.

The Thrive is a rather ancient device now, and it can't even handle Android 4.3's CPU requirements, unfortunately.

You can so much more than a pdf reader. How about wifi signals, gps, web browsing help forums while messing with Microsoft's creations, reading newspapers, maps, kindle books ...

That said, it is a sorry thing we're stuck on what we have. I don't even try to use the Playstore anymore. Just happily live with what I have - my solid Thrive.

Toshiba never seemed to care too much about the Thrive after its initial release. I said a long time ago, I wish there had been a Thrive 2...and so on...
Ahhh...I have joined the ROOTED side of the Force...
