    E: Can't open / sdcard / update.zip when installing 0003 OOM ROM

I keep getting that message when trying to install 0003 oom rom on my 10.1 Toshiba Thrive. I unzipped the folder containing update.zip using WinRar and then transferred update.zip into the internal storage.

I tried renaming update.zip to just update but it did not work.

(I rooted my tablet using Universal Toshiba Thrive Root. I don't have an external sd card.)

    What am I doing wrong?

What do you have your SDcard formatted to? ClockWorkMod only supports Fat32.

Oh I see. I have not done any formatting. It was not mentioned in the instructions. How do I format my SDcard/internal storage? I'm a newbie but I'm willing to try anything.

This requires an external full size SD Card formatted in FAT32.
Found my signature file, but it appears to be empty...

Not your internal storage. Your external SDcard. You can format it via your PC, but do a full format, not a quick format.

Is there no way to bypass this limitation? Instead of a full sized SDcard, will a USB flash drive work?

No, you have to use an external SDcard formatted to Fat32.
