    CWM taking up space

I just noticied that cwm is taking up almost all of my internal space. Is it that big? And does it need to be on here all the time or can I uninstall it? Or shoulh I get a bigger sd card & move it there?

What are you looking at for your information? Are you talking about the folder containing your backups?

Yes, that is your backups, not ClockWorkMod itself.

What Paul said. Just copy the files onto your computer and delete it off your SD so it doesn't take up so much space.

I read his comment to indicate he is storing his backups internally instead of on the external SD card. If he is talking about the backups, first thing he should do is start using the external card for the backups. Then, it is a good idea to copy them to his PC and delete them from the card if he needs the space. Personally, I use a 16G card for CWM/Titanium Backups and also copy the files to my laptop. I then has a 32G card for movies, music, and everything else. The 32G stays in and the 16g is kept handy.

Thanks guys for the fast reply, I'll do this tonight. I was looking at the storage arae and when I go to the Misc. it says 9.95GB used and when I click on it it tells me the name of the files that are in there and I see CWM 9.85GB.

So I will do the stuff and get back to you guys.

    Thanks Again.

Toshiba Backup Taking up A LOT of space

I have a 500GB external HDD that I use to back-up my laptop using the native Toshiba software. I have used 56GB of my laptop's HDD, however the Toshiba external drive is completely full. Does anyone know why? Shouldn't the backup be syncing changes and NOT backing up the entire laptop HDD each time a backup is run?

    Thanks for your help!

As this is a forum for the Toshiba Thrive tablet, IDK how much help you'll find here, but maybe one of our members has the drive and is familiar with the software and configuration.
    Have you contacted Toshiba?

I have 2 of toshiba's 500g external, but the first thing I did was reformat it to get rid of any software, so, sorry, can't help.
You have to read the manual that came with that backup software.
If they're differential backups, you have to keep the first and some recent ones.
If they're incremental, you have to keep all of them, and get another drive.
Try to figure out the contents of those backups to see what you can get rid of, that might be possible if they just backup data files, but you still need to know if they backup entire files, show versions, or if they backup just differences.
Anyway, nothing in my replies replaces having to read and understand their manual.
And all of this is totally OT on this forum
