Toshiba Media Player Duplicate Song List

HI, I have all my music in a 16GB SD card. I put the music on it by inserting the sd card in my desktop and transferring from my pc to the card. My tablet recognized the card when installed and everthing was fine . Now I notice that each song is listed twice. If the first listing is selected it notes that file is not found but it still plays, select the second listing and it plays without the notification. If I unmount the card and remove it, the music is gone and no song will play but the list of songs are still there. Can I, while the sd card is removed, reset or remove the songs that still appear ?

I have the same problem. Also it's mixing up album art.

I am pretty sure the issue is with Media Storage's database. Go to Settings - Applications - Manage applications - All and clear cache & data. You may have to Force Stop it or reboot before it will rebuild its data.
Found my signature file, but it appears to be empty...

Do you have any other solutions, I performed the below cleared data as cache was 0 and Force Stop then rebooted still most songs are listed twice?

Smile Toshibe Media Player Duplicate Song List

You will need to delete all songs from File Manager under Music for either the Internal Storage or SD card, if you have the same songs on both the system is reading both and therefore duplicates. Hope this helps you it did correct my issue.

Try taking the card out, clear the cache/data, reboot, then check to see if anything is still there. If not, reinsert the card and let it scan.
