Stuck in the start up display

    Hello

I have a new Thrive At105-T1016, unrooted. Yesterday, after only a two weeks of use it became stuck in the start up flashing colors display. It repeats this display over and over, until it is either shut down or the power runs out. When I stat the device up it shows me the 'Toshiba, leading innovation' slide and then directly to the flashing colors display. I have not seen any response to any of the hard buttons aside for the power switch after I press it for a few seconds for a full shut down.

If removing the batery does not fix your problem, then go into recovery and do a factory reset.

How do I go into recovery?

Thanks for the advice. Removing the battery did nothing. How do I go into recovery? I can't get to any of the functions that require the touch screen, the start up display jumps up before I can even glimpse the desktop.

Hold down the volume up button and then press and hold the power button. A screen will come up with three icons. Highlight the middle icon with the volume buttons and then press the power button to select it. This is the recovery system. In it, there is a selection for doing a factory reset.

    Thanks, all good now

Thank you for the support. Too bad about all the data that was deleted but at least it works now.

Yes, unfortunatly, a factory reset will delete all your data. Google will backup all your Google data and restore it agai, but anything you put on it from outside of Google is lost unless you are rooted and have Titanium Backup and/or a NANDROID backup from ClockWorkMod. Anyway, glad you are back up and running. Be carful of the apps you load. Most are for phones and can cause issues like you had.

Select the icon that looks like a box. That is recovery. You will see an option to do a factory reset.
