    Angry New battery shows -297%

Replaced a failing battery a couple of weeks ago (would not hold a charge and was over 5 years old)...problem solved for about 3 days...new battery started discharging quickly (would only last an hour off the charger...then 30 minutes...now the tablet shuts down immediately when unplugged)...-297% ()on the screen!

Any tips or tricks out there or is my Thrive toast unless tethered? I've tried removing the battery and letting things sit for a day...

Is it a brand-new battery you put in? It might be so old that it can't hold a charge any longer. I still have one for my Thrive that's decent but unused, bought five years ago and more likely manufactured seven years ago.
