    Thrive Display is Distorted

Last week, the display on my thrive went a little bit northeast. The display has stretched to the right so I can't see about the last 1/2" of the normal display, and the top wraps around to the bottom by about 1/4", (with a fine white line separating the main body from the wrapped display). The touch sensors, however are where they should be, so you have to touch to the southwest of an icon to activate that icon. The keyboard, of course follows this philosophy, so that in order to get the "p" for instance, you have to press on the right bottom edge of the "o". Consequently, you can imagine how fun this isn't. If this were my Dad's old television, I could fix it by adjusting the vertical and horizontal hold knobs.

I was hoping some app had screwed up the display, so I uninstalled everything. No help. I backed-up all my data and did a master reset. No help. I checked out all the FAQs, googled my issue, and cussed a bit (maybe a lot). The machine is running Android 4.0.4.01.000072314, and is the 10" with 32GB.

So, I'm wondering, does anyone have any idea what's happening, and more importantly how to fix it? Thanks.

Try reseating the connections to the display.

BINGO!!! Okay, that was too easy. Luckily I had watched a YouTube showing a guy replacing his LCD screen (which I didn't want to do), so I knew how to get to the display wires. Thanks a lot danvee; from one Dan to another.

Yay! Good to hear Welcome to Thrive Forums, Dan!
    Thriving with dalepl's silky-smooth DaleNet IMM76D.01.000072314 Rooted ROM (US ICS 4.0.4) and Pio_Masaki's Melchior v 2.4 kernel
