Just use the file manager. Make a directory on your SD card called Pictures and move them there. The picture viewer should find them.

I made 'pictures' folder before I posted but I have no idea how to move the pictures to it.

Use the File Manager on the Thrive. Go to APPS in the top right corner of the main screen. Find the File Manager and select it. Now, if you are wanting to move pictures made with the camera, find the folder that is titled "DCIM". Open the folder titled "Camera". You should find your pictures there. Select and move them to the Picture folder on your SD card.

Use the file manger. Tap and hold the DCIM directory on the main storage or the one below it holding the pictures (unless they are set to be elsewhere). Select "Copy". Then tap the SD drive icon. Then select paste.

If you want to do individual pictures, find them in the directory you want. Tap the bottom "select file" button. Then select the pictures you want. Tap Copy on the bottom. Go to the sd card and the directory you want (pictures), tap the bottom paste button.

There is also filemanager HD or ghost commander as alternates.

I just read these instructions on moving photos to sd card, thanks.

My question is, after I have them on the card and delete them from the thrive, can I leave sd card in and then be able to see photos in the gallery? or is it best not to leave sd card in all the time?

Just trying to figure this out, to give me more internal storage, not that I'm out yet.

Or maybe I should just put them on a usb stick and then use it to show someone my photos?

What else can I put on the sd card?

You can leave them on the SD card and the card installed. All users are using thier SD card for media storage. Keep pictures, music, and videos on the SD card. The gallery, music player, and video player all will find the media on the SD card. Plus, there are a lot of better apps available on the market.

Cannot comment on the SD card, but I use PowerAmp for music and MobiPlayer for videos. There are others and I am sure others will chime in. I do not do much with pictures, so I still have the stock gallery at use.
