    problems after ics update

    i received my thrive last christmas from my hub. i was anxiously awaiting it and i loved it. until the ics upadate. now the browser lags and crashes, my games freeze and crash. i hate how slow the internets become. please, someone tell me theres a fix for this. i feel like we just wasted a few hundred dollars.

    Yep. PM dalepl and ask if he'll help roll back to HC. Otherwise, there are tons of possible fixes listed throughout the various threads here.
    Your choice.
    Depends on if you just want to use it, or be a hobbyist and explore all of the possibilities that this tablet has to offer.:thumbup:

    thanks. im interested in rolling back. will i lose everything? will toshiba run another update soon to fix the ics problems ?

    NP.

    Yes. Anything that you don't back up will be lost, but you can reload any paid or free apps that you'd obtained from the Play Store.
    There are also utilities that can do that, like Titanium backup (PlayStore).

    I seriously doubt that they'll ever do an update.

    Best way to have ICS is to root HC, install rooted ICS and go from there. The processes are found here in the forums if you're interested in pursuing, but note that Toshiba will only support software that they provide.

    I can't even download the Titanium backup app. Not familiar with what root is. Novice when it comes to this stuff. "Android process has stopped working" continually popping up on me. HELP

    Titanium ba kup needs root anyways, try doing a factory reset. This will clear all of your apps and settings and start fresh.
