Are you experiencing this read only problem only when it is in the Thrive? Is it a micro Sd in an adapter? I have never been able to get micro SD cards in an adapter to write in the thrive, it is always read only. I know others have experienced the same thing when using adapters and micro SDcards.

I had the exact same problem. I had a 32GB Sandisk micro SD in an adapter that never would let me write to it. I replaced it with a Lexar 32 GB SD card and it works fine. No idea what the difference is other than one works and one doesn't.

It is not cause memory card, it is adapter. When I keep memory card and replace another adapter then it work fine and u can write.
I have a question. Who know how to install app or game into memory card, plz show me thanks!! I use TT 8GB so I only can install 1 or 2 gameloft I cant install into 32GB memory card.

32Gb microSD card is truly a SDHC and requires a SDHC adapter. Standard size SD / SDHC / SDXC cards all work with my Thrive's SD slot as is.

BTW: SD card / adaptersall have a small "slider" to is supposed to make the card "Read-only." I've seen the microSD to SD slot adapters "slider" all be extreme "easy" to accidentally be placed in Read-only mode.

Micro card? How are you attempting to write to it? Toshiba created write problems for many apps, and rooting is the only fix at the moment (need root to change group permissions for external storage).

It's a full size sd card.

I am just trying to "save to" the sd card.

This does sound like you have a Toshiba build were they did not grant all apps write permission to external storage. Can you copy a file using the stock File Manager to the SD card? If so, you may have to have the app save to internal storage and then copy/move the files.... or .... one can root and then correct the problem by granting proper write permissions to apps that Toshiba locked out.
