Auto rotate from landscape to portrait.

Having had two tablets before this TT I have become use to my screen auto rotating when I turn the tablet from landscape to portrait. This tablet does not do that. I have checked in setting for the auto rotate function and it is not present in settings.
Does this tablet just not have that function? Is it hidden? Is there an app that will turn the function on?

Check the switch next to the volume button to be sure you don't have the screen rotate locked.

Also check in Settings > Screen.... that is where the auto rotate setting is.

Have you checked in your settings>Screen and then you will have 4 options. They are brightness, auto rotate screen, animation and timeout option
Edit: sorry for repeating on what you said gpa011, you beat me to the reply button, lol

It was the switch. It as in the locked position. While it was in the locked position there was no option in settings for auto rotate.
I saw the switch but had no idea what it was for so I didn't want to mess with it. Thanks for the tip.:-)

Glad you got it sorted out, a lot of folks have had this same issue, sometimes the switch get changed when folks accidently hit it while changing volume.

My screen won't rotate. I have checked the lock button and then "settings-screen". The screen settings are grayed out and the box is checked. Any help?

If the screen settings are grayed out then that means the lock switch is on, try sliding it to opposite what it is now. The unlock position is when it is next to the volume rocker. If you can see a red dot then it is locked.

Yah my switch looked like it was in the off position or unlocked, but it was locked. When I flipped the switch the greyed out setting worked and one setting that was not even present became visible.
