How to transfer books on the google books app

    So like the title says.

I have some books I have on my desktop and i want to transfer them onto my thrive but I want to use the 'books' app because of how fluid and smooth the page turns are. I just find it cool.

So what file do they have to be and where do I transfer them to?

    Thanks in advance
    -Daniel

I don't think Google Books supports sideloading of books. If the books in question are ones you got through Google Books on your PC they should be available to the app. If you want them physically on the THRiVE, menu - make available offline.

Have you tried Aldiko or Coolreader?
Found my signature file, but it appears to be empty...

Does anyone know where Google books stores the books when "available offline". I would like to be able to transfer them to another device, but can't find the storage folder. See nothing in settings to assign the folder.

Still not sure about stotage location for offline, but after contacting google, there is a problem down loading books from play store for other readers. They are working it. Until then you can go to books.google.com/books and sign in if necessary. Then you can download the books in a format for readers eg epub. When you touch a title you have purchased ther will be a red box with Read ebook in it on the left of the screen. Hover mouse over red box and a menu will appear with options to down load. This is easier on a PC then transfer to whatever device from there.

    No sideload

No sideload for the Google Play Books.

I have a Yellow Submarine copy that won't show in Nook if anyone has any clues as to why.

I sideload to my KindleApp because it's the one I've gotten used to using the most. It's easy and I use Calbre to convert to MOBI for the Kindle. The GoogleReader app will import any ePub books you have. Just load them to your SD card, internal or external and go to settings from within the program, choose More>Import and browse to the epubs you want to import. It might also import pdf but I don't have any on my thrive at the moment to check it with, but it saw and imported an ePub just fine. It wouldn't import the MOBI files from my kindle library though.

Yeah... um... disregard all that... I was in the Toshiba Books app not the Google Play books app. My bad! I have too many book apps and I mainly use the Kindle so I'm not totally familiar with the icons yet....
