    Toshiba Thrive 7-inch use mini usb for input devices

    Hi there,

    Curious (and perhaps an uneducated question) as to whether or not the mini usb port on the 7 inch can be used for keyboards, gamepads, etc. I know that this is possible on honeycomb 3.1+ tablets with the micro usb and an OTG cable but I don't think there's an OTG cable for mini-usb (I'm sure there's a technical reason why). Can anyone provide any insight into whether or not it's possible? I'd love to be able to play my nes roms on my thrive with an external usb controller.

    Any thoughts would be wonderful.

    No, the mini USB port is for communicating with a PC. If there is the capability to use the dock connection, Toshiba has not said so. I do not think they ever intended for the Thrive 7" to have host mode conectivity.
