Gallery is not a location. Gallery scans ask locations and lists media content found. You needed to use a file manager to actually move/copy files.
Found my signature file, but it appears to be empty...

photos will normally be found (using file manager) under 'pictures and 'dcim/camera'. While in Toshiba file manager, press for a second on the picture you want to move/copy and follow the prompts.

I have not found a way to do multiple photos except by copying the entire folder

Let me know if this answers your question.

You should see a Select option. Click that and then tick the images you want. There should be a Copy option. Click that and then navigate to where you want them. You should now see a Paste option. Click that and they will show up.

If you install the free Astro file manager, that will allow you to select multiple files to move or copy.

Next question regarding the photos. I show a whole bunch in gallery. Under settings it shows it as "External storage" with nothing plugged in. I want to remove all of the photos I loaded in then try to reload so I can do a "slideshow" presentation with them in the proper order. Anybody know how to remove the current ones and replace so they fall "in order" so they would be viewed in chronological order?

EDIT: Just went to Picasa and deleted all. External photos gone from gallery. Inserted SD card with photos in chronological order but they don't show up that way. Still trying to figure that one out.

EDIT2: Took the Thrive to Best Buy and spent some time with one of the Geeks. He found several things it wouldn't do or wouldn't do right. When I told him I had done the 3.2 update he just nodded and sent me to customer service to get a replacement. That is supposed to be in 12/29.

Guess this one would be considered "Solved".
