    16gb vs 32gb

so ill hopefully be ordering my thrive this weekend. I'm not sure if i want the 16gb or the 32gb. I plan on buying a 32gb card for media and docs. i guess im not sure about apps and widgets. how much space do the apps take up? I'm not even sure how many ill be using. any other reasons one size is better then the other?

Apps neccessarily take up (AVG.) about 10MB, some are merely 100kB. You know, I would recommend a 16GB and 8GB SD. If you watch your movies, then probably the 32GB. Obviously, it depends on what you need. I have a 16GB, and I have around 250 apps and takes about 6.5GB with widgets, 100 songs, a movie, and it only takes half.

I agree with techelec it all comes down to your needs, Most apps take up very little space. I have a 16gb model and Just use an SD card to store my media and documents on and its plenty for me.

I remember reading an article (I can't say I lived back in the 1970's) when 100MB was considered huge....

Now, even some PDF document could be bigger. Obviously, even in the 1970's the whole worlds' files and bloatware and all the interesting stuff on a computer would total up to maybe a hundred terabytes. Even my extended family has more storage space than that

Well, off topic there, but then to answer your question:

Yes, it does depend on what you need (As I have said). What do you need exactly? We could give you a more detailed answer. Or else, just stick to the two above posts.

Now, after price has dropped you can get the 32GB at the same price that the 16GB was two weeks ago...

good question. It will replace my current netbook, which is on the end of its life. I love my netbook, but its bulky for most things i do. Since i work at home it will be daily surfing and such, and on the weekends i will travel with me and help me with my responsibilities at church. its makes sense that i save some money and go with the 16gb. but bigger is better right?
