Is this with all paid apps? If so, you're in a country that doesn't support paid apps yet.

Is the app you are looking for on amazon.com? Maybe you could get it from amazon instead.

I'm not an expert in this and I've never tried it, but what if you set up the Thrive as if you were in the US? I'm not sure if the app store is looking at the network you're originating from or the settings on the tablet itself. (I would think the latter because one might travel?) Anyway, it might be worth a shot...but unfortunately, I'm not sure all the necessary steps to try this.

I've tried changing the location settings, that didn't work.
I can install most Apps, but not some of the games i want.
I would say Android market must look at my IP address.
Find it strange, i thought we live in a global economic society, my cash is as good as anybody else's right.
    I'll try Amazon
Thanks for all the help, much appreciated.

    Vpn

I use a VPN when out of the U.S. for Netflix, Hulu. I would assume it will work on aps as you get a U.S. (or wherever they have a server) IP.

I have not found a way to circumvent this. I am currently in Iraq and when I hook up via the wireless here and get an IP that point me here, I can't download apps either. There was a post, I want to say in the Apps section, of a list of sites where you can download apps with an non-us IP address. I thought it was funny at the time because the header for the post was to download them legally. I'll try to find the post again and link it here.
I'm not sure but couldn't you get a router and proxy it to the U.S.?

    Mikey
