    Hide My Kindle Books!

Ok, heh, so i have a bunch of kindle books that I would rather not let people see that I am reading...

The problem is,, I like showing off my stuff,, im a tech guy,, and people use my tablet all the time,,

I want to be able to hide certain things unless i unhide them kind of deal...

whether hiding the app completely, or by ideally, hiding just the kindle books within the app.

My current solution is to delete the downloaded books, so at least they dont show on the main page,, but if you go to archives,, there they are.

    Any help?

I'm assuming Maximum Security makes it a system app so it can't be uninstalled?

One can also change file and folder names to be hidden (from apps). Just start the filename with a period ”.”

While the folder/file is totally hidden the app usually won't see it, and then won't display it as available. The file can still be seen in file managers and can be opened by the app by selecting the item (the file extension determines which app launches).

Can't you also put your books on a SD card? That way you wouldn't have to worry about people seeing them, just loosing your card.

Depends on the eReader. Some scan all locations for supported formats, including external storage.. Some will remember title/files that were loaded from sdcard and will display the title/cover until it is manually deleted from the app (even if the file has been deleted).
