Keyboard Lag With Evernote

Today I noticed that my Swype keyboard had a severe lag while trying to make some notes in Evernote. This was new; it's never happened before that I can remember. I did a battery pull, no luck. I switched to the stock keyboard, no luck. I uninstalled/reinstalled Evernote, no luck. The strange thing is, it seems to only be happening in the Evernote app. I can go to the website from my Thrive and type with no lag. I also started a note in Google Drive, then exported it to Evernote and continued editing it there, but this time there was no lag! I'm at a loss here.

I haven't noticed this issue with any other apps.

Has anyone encountered anything like this?

BTW, I am rolled back to stock HC. Haven't had the time or guts to root yet.

Have you tried a different keyboard?
Have you contacted the authors of Evernote?
Have you tried clearing the cache of the keyboard or Evernote?

Tried the stock keyboard. Same problem. Haven't contacted Evernote yet. Thought i would check here first to see if anyone else had this problem. I will clear the caches and see what that does.

Does it happen if you start the app after rebooting, or does the lag get worse the longer the tablet is 'up'?

A Google search turns up lag problems with Evernote and i-Stuff, the Nexus 4 and other devices.

I don't have that issue, but it's apparently something that goes cross platform.

Some say that turning off the predictive text feature in the keyboard helps.

I tried uninstalling/reinstalling. No luck. I have pulled the battery and started Evernote after rebooting. No luck. I just cleared the caches. No luck.

Did you try turning off the predictive text feature on the keyboard?

You might want to try uninstalling every app installed or updated since you noticed the issue.
How much free memory do you have?
Sometimes a low memory condition can cause lag.

I'm going to contact Evernote. I don't know what else to do at this point.
