    Theres no place like home.......

Well Ive found out first hand just how unique this little slice of the interwebs (Thriveforums.org) is.
As Ive learned more about these little hanheld pc's Ive wanted to see what a cutting edge machine was like,so I bought a Galaxy Note 10 white.Incredble speed and smoothness (2gRAM,1.4m quad). My GF now has the Thrive. However , the search for a nice page only about this device where people acted like friends has proven much more difficult. Most sites are chopped up into 200 different device threads, and the section that is relevant is mostly just Devs upping SW and users whining. No bargain accessories,no discussions about sick dogs and most importantly no feeling of community.(Despite what you might want to believe we are very socialistic beings,we would still be hunting wild game in a loincloth if not).I digress,Members of TTF.com cherish what you have,it is rare indeed! OH! and thanks for all the help and friendliness youve given me in the past and I would ask that I be allowed to remain even though my beloved Thrive is now primarily used to play some stupid coin game.....Thanks for reading!
BTW I hugley miss those full size ports! (Or just any at all save a micro SD)

Well, we hope you'll still 'hang around' here. Besides, the GF might want/need info about what else she can do with her 'new' Thrive, once she gets tired of the coin game Have you tried our sister site for your Galaxy Note?

I too recently got a Galaxy Note 10.1 and put a 32GB microSD in it. It is an awesome device. Since I rarely used the built-in full size USB and HDMI ports on my TT, their absence from the GN 10.1 is not an issue. Also I already have a USB/full size SD adaptor that works on both the GN and my GT 7.0 Plus so I have those features if needed. An HDMI dongle is also available though I don't foresee ever buying it.

That said, the OP is absolutely spot on about finding a forum with characteristics anywhere near this one. I planned to give my TT to a family member or perhaps sell it. The reason that I've done neither so far has everything to do with what the OP states. Simply put, this an enjoyable, friendly place...a calm oasis in a desert filled with extreme attitudes, polarized opinions and a lack of civility.

When I eventually part with my TT, I know I'll probably continue to come back here from time to time. Until then I think I'll just stick around and enjoy.

BTW Rosalie, thanks for the heads up on the sister forum.

You're welcome, bluzman. I just happened to notice on the forum 'Home' page, all the way at the bottom, is a list of sister sites for different devices

Burrman I used those ports alot,HDMI for outputting MonopolyŠ to the tv,USB for file transfer.HDMI dongle on the way....
Also just today I found a new script for the Note 10 that allows for true App2SD integration smooth and flawless without a bunch of input from the user.
