Lightbulb Laggy System Behavior / Keyboard Fix / other workarounds, etc.

    Issue 1:

Go to general settings for forum (or your profile) and change the Miscellaneous Options - Message Editor Interface to Standard Editor. The Enhanced Interface (WYSIWYG) is JavaScript overkill and fights with Honeycomb. The standard editor is no slouch, one just misses wysiwyg.

Not only is the lag reduced, other Honeycomb editing features work as well, cut/copy/paste/etc.

For those of you who don't already know, these forums (VBulletin software) are well known to cause typing delays which are typically limited to the browser app while using forums such as these. Tapatalk has been recommended often as the best alternative. Many use it. This is just another alternative for those that would prefer to keep using the
browser instead of Tapatalk. So, Outside these forums / your browser, you should not notice much (if any) lag.

    Issue 2:

Those that still experience lag outside the browser / these forums should look into replacement keyboard from the market such Thumb Keyboard, SwiftKey X Tablet, etc. This is not the thread for discussing the best keyboard, etc. There are many threads for that. Here's a suggested one though:

    Swiftkey or Thumbkeyboard

    Issue 3:

You have restored / installed one or more incompatible apps made for phone which has introduce potential instabilities into the core system. Factory reset and only install apps that are known to be compatible to see if issue persists.

    Issue 4:

You are using (or abusing) a task manager / killer. Stop using it immediately. Android 3.x manages it memory quite differently from earlier versions of Android or other OSes such as Windows. Other members have confirmed this issue and that not discontinuing use of the offending app made this issue go away.

mcarver2000 you have really increased my ability to use this forum the way I've become accustomed to use forums. My thumb keyboard is fully functional and it wasn't before here on the forums. There is no more lag at all. I can't thank you enough! I feel like I should buy you lunch or something. ;-)

U mentioned other threads for keyboard problems, I'm having lag problems in emails using a Bluetooth keyboard that works fine with docs to go. Any references would be appreciated.
