All those settings cannot help those tiny speakers. I have found that deactivating everything except the volume boost gives the best sound.

I'm gonna have to try some of these and compare to see if it really makes any difference.

First, try power-off, power-on, otherwise what path. You can get to settings from the notification area or by running settings from the apps page. The Settings will have a lot of stuff like location and wifi in addition to multimedia. multimedia should be the 4th entry with a film icon (squares with registration holes). Tapping that should have video enhancement (with a checkbox) and Audio Enhancement which brings up a menu. SRS multimedia Enhancement Settings brings up the key menu where when you uncheck Use Default Settings you can set the bass and treble up to 100% and 75% for speaker and headphone. Leave Enable SRS checked.

If you are going through a different path, you may get a different menu.

In 3.2 there are two Toshiba specific audio enhancements. I don't know how they work with these other settings.
Is your iPad battery low? Here, just plug it into my Thrive...
