Hello all, There is a lot of speculation whether or not some android devices can or can't view and connect to ad-hoc WiFi connections I am here to tell you that ALL android devices that are capable of using regular WiFi are capable of connecting and using ad-hoc connections it is just a matter of whether WiFi supplicant supports it, which it can only a few lines of code have to be added to the file.
The following patches enable ad-hoc mode WiFi for ALL versions of every custom ROM and android available however the only thing is that you must choose the corresponding file for your version of android.
All you must do is flash the WiFi driver that corresponds to your version of android in recovery mode.
You DO NOT need a certain rom for this to work just a 10.1" Toshiba Thrive.
Honeycomb patch ( If your using a rooted version of stock Honeycomb, Dalenet, or honey bread that is based off android 3.0,3.1,or 3.2 honeycomb this is for you )
Ics+Jellybean ad-hoc WiFi patch ( If your using dalenet or android 4.0.x as well as CyanogenMod 10 or any other 4.1.x jellybean ROM this is for you )
