Okay, as I don't have a usable memory card, can someone link me to the recovery.img of the version that backs up to USB? (or build a version of this one to suit)?

The one that came with the NO PC root method actually worked for me, but unfortunately I don't have the zip file anymore.

Weird, I was just restoring back to that version from the touch one for the same reason and I saw your post.

I don't have it in Update.zip format but I will give you the .img. (You wouldn't be able to flash it from recovery anyways :P)

LINK: (CWM v5.x USB is automounted /sdcard)
    https://dl.dropbox.com/u/8633485/recovery.img
    (MD5: b2169433b0a459e984545b50389d07ca)

Once you have that, paste it into the folder with adb and Fastboot (In the android-sdk/platform_tools folder) and open a command prompt in that folder.
Connect your thrive to your computer via USB.
Boot into bootloader on the thrive... Vol Up + Power button.
Go to the far left and press Power Button. You enter Fastboot.
type "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" without quotes and press Enter.

It should flash the USB CWM recovery and you should be good.
If it the thrive hangs after you get Success on the install type "fastboot reboot" then power off and enter Recovery using Vol Up + Power.
If you /sdcard doesnt mount while in recovery, go to Advanced > Reboot Recovery. Once it boots back up /sdcard should be mounted.

Everyone having trouble with windows adb drivers...

Switch to a linux operating system (live bootable cd, no need to install/dual boot) and adb will work (given that you have the linux version of the adb binary), the linux terminal will be the same as the thrive terminal in the 'android terminal' app. So most of you should know how to use it if your wanting to use the debug bridge. (I know this doesn't make adb work on windows, but your thrive is linux with the same terminal sh/bash)

As a side note, you can connect to adbd 'android debug bridge daemon' internally from the thrive, just connect to localhost (I think) if not turn adb wifi on and connect to your thrives IP addy from your thrive and it will work.

(The thrive has both the adb-daemon and the adb binary)

I don't want to switch to a whole new operating system just to have adb working myself.

Thanks, I already know how to use fastboot - I have an Xperia and FB is the only way to hack it.

and @ThaBadBoy - you don't need to switch, just consider it adding options. I dual boot Ubuntu and Windows.

    Hello,

Is this project still current? It looks like the latest version is: ClockworkMod Touch 6.0.1.2. However, I saw a reference to a ClockworkMod Touch 6.0.1.3?? Is this available for download yet??

    Thanks!

    BJ

6.0.1.3 doesn't even boot in recovery! 6.0.1.1 is by far the most stable version. 6.0.1.2 has a backup issue. Personally I'm using TWRP and love it. Been using TWRP on every phone I've had and never had problems.

Mods feel free to delete this thread since this verison isn't stable and I deleted the download link awhile back.

Are you sure it was 6.0.1.2? I had an issue with it and a lot of others did. Dalepls comes with 6.0.1.1.
