    Lightbulb (mod) ics sound

Ok I know it's been a while, but I'm dropping by to say I'm going to upload my latest mod. After the update last year to ICS my mod for the last build did not work anymore. Well I'm here to tell you I have finally made another mod to make the internal and external speakers louder and you will notice it not like the other claims out there. I will upload as soon as I get home. Yes I'm still down here in Cuba. Won't be too long though.

TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK. I AM NOT RESPOSIBLE FOR YOUR DEVICE(S). THIS HAS ONLY BEEN TESTED ON DALES : IMM76.01.000072314 (DaleNet Stock Rooted)

Please flash this in recovery mode. If you do not know how to do that, please on how to do it. It's real simple. I modded the srs_cfg file to allow us to go past the limiter set by the device. I increased the internal speakers from 1.0 to 1.3 (same as the Samsung Galaxy) anything else makes the speakers distorted when turned up to loud. I increased all external devices from 1.0 to 1.5. FREAKING AWSOME SOUND! If you want it louder and you know how to edit the file in this update then make changes to the file. I'm pretty sure the BEATS mod going around will work well with this mod. But you don't need it though LOL, cause it sounds awsome by itself. I just picked what sounded good to me and I'm a music fiend. The file will be installed into /system/data/srs_processing.cfg

    UPDATE:

    V - SRS6
Bluetooth - I found that I did something that made bluetooth sound not working I fixed that.

External Speaker- I boosted the sound even more to 1.7 without volume boosted, and 2.0 with volume boosted. I also changed the EQ to mirror that which
was meant for our internal speakers and it sounds deeper and richer.

Internal Speaker- I boosted the sound to 1.5 without volume boosted, and 1.7 with volume boosted. I switched off the internal EQ for srs and it sounds a lot
better. Does not have that effect like its in box sound

    The link is below.

    V - SRS4

Please let me know if the link does not work....

The link worked and the install went smoothly after I remembered to copy the zip to sdcard2.

The sound is definitely louder, but doesn't seem so loud that it will harm the speakers. I've only tested it with a recently viewed YouTube video and some music with Play Music. I'll report back if I find something to report. Otherwise, thanks for updating this mod.

Thanks everyone for trying this. I got mine hooked up to my speakers right now and they sound outstanding. It didn't sound like that before. Can't put it down right now. Headphones are extra loud now. Love my Thrive all over again!! ENJOY YOURS cuz the other tablets do not compare now that we can manipulate the speakers trust me!!

This improved my volume noticeably. More volume through the headphones, but what really impressed me is that when I play back my recorded audio notes, which were barely audible before unless I held the Thrive up to my ear, I can not only hear them, I can hear them from across the room!
Thanks so much for sharing this!

I neve understood why Toshiba did this to the speakers and sound. My daughters Kindle Fire was louder than my Thrive....SMH. I had to do something. I forgot to mention that I set the output to stereo, it was on "one speaker" output.
