    LogMeIn Ignition download and reinstall???

    As we all know LogMeIn Ignition comes as a trial on the Thrive. I used it quite a bit and decided to purchase it because I use LogMeIn for several PC's and it comes in handy. I did this through the Toshiba App store and it after the transaction was complete it tried to run an update to, I believe, license it and do some basic updates. I kept getting a parsing error so I did what I though any normal user would do and uninstalled it. I went back to my account on the Toshiba App store to re-download it and there is no way to do this. I see the app listed in my account but there is absolutely no place to download it so I can re-install. I contacted their customer service and got back a canned response telling me how to download the app. I followed their instructions verbatim (even though they had me do exactly what I had previously done) with the same results. I emailed them again explaining that there was no link to download the app...they sent me the same canned response telling me how to download. I contacted them a third time explaining very carefully what my issue is and asking them to please not send me any more canned responses and tell me where to download the app...no response . With that said I decided to come here where actual smart people can be found . Does anyone have any idea how / where I can re-download LogMeIn Ignition (yes, I contacted LogMeIn directly and they told me there is nothing they can do and that the app store has to handle this) or what to do from here??

    You can try this. Do not know if it will help. Go into SETTINGS-->APPLICATIONS-->ALL APPLICATIONS. Find the App Store and clear its data. Also force stop it. Then relaunch and see if it will allow you to reinstall the app. Also, I would not use the App Store any more. Use the Play Store or Amazon App Store to purchase your apps. they are both way better.

    I will give that a shot when I get home Paul. I initially thought I could recoveer it from my Titanium backup but after uninstalling it it wasn't available to recover.
    As far as the app store goes I would never have used it but at the time it was the easiest way to get it purchased plus get a small discount. I normally only use the Play Store or the Amazon Store...lesson learned.

    did you get a email from Google after you bought it?most of the time I get one before its get done downloading.if the above don't work drop them a email with the receipt number.thay answer petty quick.I was thanking about doing it.

    rt, this was not from Google but from the Toshiba App Store. I did get a receipt for the purchase but nothing about downloading or anything useful. I would reccommend never purchasing anything from the Toshiba App Store.

    I am sorry I have to chime in here. When I read your first few posts before I even got to the bottom of the last few postings the first thing that came to mind was it sounds like Toshiba. Sure enough it was. Am I a mind reader or what. Anyways, did you ever get the app to work? I hope it was not expensive. Maybe you can find another comparable app from the PlayStore and just chuck the loss up to doing business with Toshiba.

    Here's a technical support # 1 800 457 7777. Might get better results with a phone call and ask to speak to a supervisor if you need to. Yes, some people have bad experiences when calling Toshiba customer service (for any companyfor that matter) but others have had good results doing so. Wouldn't hurt to give it a try.

    Probably not a mind reader since the third sentence of the first post said he got it from Toshiba's app store
