Toshiba File Manager question

First of all Happy New Year to everyone!

2 questions today
1) The Toshbia File Manager scroll buttons won't work. This is the case regardless if its internal storage, USB or SD - why?
2) Is there a way to do screen dump and save it to a jpeg?

Scroll buttons? I am unaware of any scroll buttons.

Capturing the screen requires root or unit connected to PC and interfaced via Android SDK.

Scroll buttons might not be the proper term. If you go into File manager, tap on a folder, then tap on a picture, then tap on the picture again, you will get a series of control buttons. From left to right they are: Back, Edit, Fast Reverse, Play, Fast Forward, - (minimize), + (maximize). They all work except the middle 3 (Fast Forward, Play, Fast Reverse).

when i do what you describe, i get 'cut copy delete, rename, share' options. maybe the grayed out on yours is because you can't 'play' a picture lke a movie.

maybe, it might not be a good comparision but Windows and Window apps let you scroll through pictures, seems very inefficient if you can't.

you can accomplish this with the Toshiba Media Player which shows the same control buttons, they ALL just don't work in the File Manager.

Are you talking about Medis Manager? That is one of the places you can play videos from and the controls you are describing are video controls. By scroll do you mean fast forward and reverse? I have noticed that fast forward doesn't work on the one movie I put on the thrive.

It is "kind of" operator error. You are viewing a single image and it doesn't scroll through images like Windows Explorer does. Plus, those controls are really for videos and it's just one of many File Nanager "features" that leave a lot to be desired. It is also one of many reasons I use ES File Explorer instead. When you select an image and open it in ES Image browser, it lets you view the other images with a swipe of your finger.

He's not long-pressing, just tapping.

ok if it doesn,t work at this point with File Manager that's fine, but I would have expected the buttons that don't work to be grayed out.

I am trying to get a couple of my movies to transfer from a USB memory stick to the Thrive. At about 80% completion it fails and I get this message, The application Toshiba File Manager (process com.toshiba.filemanager) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. The only option I have is to "force close" there is no report the problem tab. Please help. Oh I am kind slow when it comes to these types of things. I am a hard ware guy not a soft ware.
