    Google Play Store Apps will no longer install or update....!

    Hello all nub here!

    I have had NO problems with my Thrive for the 3years+, I installed new battery......and now Play Store will not update the apps or install new ones.

    After an hour or two I will get this message..."update for goggle maps" or what ever app I try, could not be downloaded due to an error (495).

    How ever I can install apps from the "App Place"

    I have tried All of the fixes from this sit an others.....i.e. Clear cash and Clear data on the apps recommend.I have tried "Factory data reset".......no joy.

    I have tried "Android System Recovery".......no help........!

    What version of the Play Store do you have installed? Can you install via the website?
    Found my signature file, but it appears to be empty...

    Hello, the Ver:4.4.21.

    I don't think I know how to install via website.........?

    I just tried to do install via website and it does the same thing..........just runs and runs and runs.

    "App Place" sounds like an old version. OP, what Android ROM do you have installed right now? If you've already done a factory reset, I'd advise rooting and installing dalepl's ICS or one of Pio's Jelly Bean ROMs. Make sure to do a full wipe. You'll be assured of updated software and clean account info.

    App Place is Toshiba's app store. Updates are available via Service Station. If it is really App Place and not Google Play Store, try updating. It's a very unstable app. If one is automatically logged in, unlog and log back in.

    Google Play Store is currently version 4.5.10 or higher.
    Found my signature file, but it appears to be empty...

    App place is Toshiba's and it workers fine.......!Isn't the ROM Ver. Posted in my signature ? Thanks
