    firefox beta and camera control.

    Saw an update was availablee, went to download it and saw that one of the permissions it has is to take pictures. thinking of dumping firefox because of this. anyone know why firefox does with these pictures?

    don't understand. why does a browser have to control a camera to upload a picture? seems i would want to upload a picture i've already taken.

    found some info on mozilla site. some web sites ask for a picture. firefox allows you to take picture but doesn't take pictures on its own.

    So you can take a picture and upload it in one fell swoop instead of having to open the camera app, take the picture, go into Firefox, open the website, select the picture, etc.

    Also, strangely, camera and gallery are tied together, if either doesn't work the other doesn't either. This may also be why the permission is stating take pictures when that's not its real meaning, but required anyways because of this tie in with gallery and camera.
