    Netflix Update not working

    I am having problems with the Netflix app that was updated today, which adds a wifi only option. The problem is after about 20 seconds whatever I am watching freezes. I am using a 10.1'" 16GB Thrive (AT100) running ICS not rooted. Is anyone else having this problem? Also, does anyone know how to contact Netflix about this issue other than calling them? I cannot find their email address anywhere. Thanx!

    Update works fine here. Try clearing cache and data through settings/apps

    Did you reboot after doing the clearing of cache and data?
    You could also just uninstall the update.

    Uninstalling the update is very wise. Unfortunately I uninstalled the whole app before I read your help. Maybe Amazon has the previous version. Thanx for your quick responses!

    Well, I went and installed Amazon's version of Netflix and it works fine. I also looked at the comments on google play for people using just the Thrive device and there are many people with the exact problem, so I imagine there be another update real soon, I hope.

    I am rooted with DaleNet 4.0.4 and I can get as far as picking what I want to watch on Netflix. I then get the red Netflix "Loading" screen and it locks at that point. Called Netflix... Ha! "Call Toshiba etc. etc." Cleared cache and data settings. Uninstalled and reinstalled several times from both play store and amazon app store. Got nothing but exactly the same results. I wonder if one of my settings or other apps is not playing well with the Netflix app. Maybe I should try a previous version of the Netflix app. Does anyone have a link to a previous working app? Seems weird though because I think most of you don't have this problem. Thanks!

    Rebooting is shutting down completely and restarting.

    Try booting into CWM recovery and clear the cache and the dalvik. That may help.

    Complete NOOB. So I got into CWM. Clicked on the box. "-wipe cache partition"?. How do I clear the dalvik? Will I be messing anything else up? I feel like an idiot asking about this simple stuff.
    How do you like the turbo prop mod?

    Yep.
    Then boot into it again. Go into 'advanced' menu and choose clear dalvik.
    Nope-nothing should get messed up.
    Turbo prop is mostly already there in the ROM plus a couple of 'experimental ' entries.
    So far, so good.
