At least not if they're following the USB standards.

    Just to Clarify

Post #12 Was my Question with the Phillips Link - 6:08 PM

Post #13 - Your answer 6:14 PM - Just try it , only why you'll find out, kind hard for someone to tell if it would work.

    Post #14 I answered to you saying - Sure I can -6:17PM
I called Toshiba after that posting.

6:33 PM -Post #15 Dave writes that it won't work

7:33 PM - You write and say don't do it.

I would never advise anyone to plug any component in unless I knew what I was talking about that is why I asked Dave in a thread which I cannot find. Somewhere its been deleted. Before Dave answered the thread at 6:33 PM I had already called Toshiba to verify this. Should have called Toshiba in the first place but the members of the forum are so helpful. Yes, the members on this forum can do research but that's the reason we are all on this forum is to learn and not bash each other. Without forum members asking questions there would be no forum. As far as your hypothetical question it has nothing to do with what I asked. I provided a direct link to show what I was trying to do.
    Cheers

No, it was in a PM, that's why you don't see it.

Yes, and there are misstatements made in every forum. Her error was corrected as soon as I told her about it and that should have been the end of it. The fact that members here are helpful doesn't negate due diligence. You contacted Toshiba and, even though I don't totally agree with what they told you, that was the right thing to do. Paul initially said he thought 0003 could be rooted and the new CWM could read exFAT formatted cards. We found out later those were wrong. The point is no one is infallible. We correct our errors and move on. This is a collaborative effort and mistakes will be made. That's just the way it is.
danvee, rosalie and bobj like this.
