    I could build a very nice computer for $900. No way I would spend that on a tablet. I'm sure it will be cheaper here, but I like my Thrive too much.

    Cut that 900 in half and thats probably the US price - 450, and the thrive will probably be selling for 350 on down by then.

    you are quite probably right but I am amazed at how naive are the japanese when it come to buying gear stuff or others...I am sure many people have already ordered the thing even so the price is completely silly.but I am convinced that the excite will not sell so well with such timeframe for the launch date,other higher spec tablets would have arrived by then.My 2p

    Finally, I got my Thrive (32GB)! I used it for 3 to 4 hours in a day continously without any downtime with internet connection. This had been my expperience with my previous HP Touchpad.
