    A few issues

    Hello everyone,

I have a couple of issues with this tablet.

    1) My screen recently became unresponsive, sometimes it works sometimes it does not.
    2) I've searched around the several official Toshiba boards, and one thread refers that exists an update to fix this. Awesome right? I can't find the damn thing in the update center.
    3) Maybe it is a problem with the version I'm currently using (), how can I change to the stock one?
    4) After all failed, I've tried searching for the stock rom/image thing, but it seems every country refers to this model with a different name, is it all the same or not? Which one do I actually have?

Any pointers/help would be appreciated as I have no clue where to go from here.

Unfortunately there are no flashable images for the AT200 "Excite". I would recommend the following:

WARNING: factory reset will wipe all data -- make backups of what you can before proceeding).
You can attempt to save apps and data with Helium App Sync & Backup or ADB Backup & Restore (see the following)

[GUIDE] Full Phone Backup without Unlock or Root

ADB Backup & Restore - The SuperUser's Guide

Important:* Backups need to saved to a PC or some other external storage.
    Wipe Cache (safe)

Go into Recovery (after powering down, hold the Volume + and Power Button -- Use Volume rocker to navigate & Power button to select)

Select the large icon with the open box and arrow (don't panic when you see the Andy Android down for the count)

    Wipe/clear cache partition

    Reboot

Factory Reset (wipes device clean erasing all installed apps & data)

Follow the above steps but select Factory Reset/Restore.

Only two options I can select in recovery mod is either do the factory reset, or continue with a system update. Doing the factory reset will keep me on the 4.0.3

Is it possible that the system update did not finish? If so, that may be the cause of the symptoms.

Selecting the 'continue with system update' option gives two choices:
    update from internal
    update from sd card

When going into internal, I tried browsing to the cache/recovery, but there's nothing there to select.

What's next? Root it and flash with a rom? How?

That's one option that you don't (and likely never will) have.

Toshiba locked it down tight and the tablet was never popular enough to get rooters interested in cracking the security.

Your only option is to do a factory reset and hope that resets everything.
