You can disable apps without root, but it won't delete them and it needs done each time it boots, other then that most things I've tried haven't worked yet. Still a few things left but I've been busy and not owning one makes it a pretty low priority project.

Any new development on rooting this device?
I am interested in just rooting and not custom firmware.

hello there, in new in this forum since ive just received this excite AT10 yesterday.

ive update it to the latest firmware 4.2.1 kernel 3.1.10-ge44894

So i tried to root it using motochopper, no luck.

after run 'run.bat' , it found the device, pushing exploit and all, and after 'rooting' , it fail to root.

SU is installed but theres no SU binary installed.

so, is there any way to root it?

If Pio Masaki hasn't done it, I guess the answer, here, at least, is no.

Victory! We have been able to root the Toshiba Excite Pro (Toshiba AT10LE-A-108) with a Dirty Cow enabled KingoRoot.
Dumping recovery (SOS partition) was successful. Partitions info of this tablet and their names is available too. We managed to instal the Device Info HW app by Audrey Efremov and select the Info Center option to upload device information (components) to the database.
The next step was to find Toshiba Excite Pro clones for donor parts (needed for ROM development).

Asus Transformer Pad TF701T (KOOC), Asus Google Nexus 7 and HP SlateBook 10 x2 PC were the devices selected for donor parts.
Are you curious? Come an join us at the Xda forum. We need your help too!
