    Apple vs Samsung

I know Samsung is Apples biggest threat and apple always has Samsung in court.
I believe Samsung still makes all the CPUs for the iPhone. Also isn't Samsung making the next tablet for Google again? Is it Samsung is a threat on one hand and big companies need them for components on the other hand or do I see it wrong?

I heard rumors that Sony may make the next Google/Nexus device.
Found my signature file, but it appears to be empty...

Apple and Google are trying to not use Samsung components, and are having problems getting enough.

I find it highly doubtful Sony winds up with a Nexus device. The supposed Sony Nexus stuff from last year was a proven fake. But more importantly, Sony is not going to put out a device as open as a Nexus. People whine about the Verizon Nexus but Sony would be 10 times worse. Everything Sony makes is moving toward more and more control and lockdown.

But it won't be a Sony device, but a Google device manufactured and designed by Sony based on Google's specs. Even the Samsung Google devices are more open than Samsung's own devices.

I'd like to see HTC do one since they're banging out some epic phones lately with the DNA and one, and given a carrier not forcing it (ahem Verizon), they have no issues unlocking their devices.

Anyways back on topic. I always found it hilarious that apple is suing their own device manufacturer and can't be surprised that they're parting ways, you can only spit in Samsung's face for so long before they release stuff that blows your devices away. Samsung has pretty much owned the smart phone market since their various galaxy S 2 phones were released, and the galaxy nexus only compounded that, the s3 is a monster success, the notes are also a huge hit.

I'm sure unless apple does something more impressive then the iPhone 5 was they're going to start losing the battle even more with the s4. People want bigger screens, higher resolution, quad cores, blah blah. They need to consider maybe 2 sizes of iPhone to keep up, like a regular 4" as some love the size, and something closer to 5", and kick up their performance a bit to keep up now, Samsung is setting the bar these days.

    Just my 75 cents.

Whoever builds the next Google tablet will have to go by the specifications from Google to get the contract. Has Sony ever done that before?
