So I can not backup my original ROM first and also can not root the ROM.
Can you help check how to solve it?

Well the screen shot you present shows no issue at all. Is your device not rebooting?

Did you go into ClockWorkMod and do a backupo of your ROM? The flash tool does not backup the device. What issue are you having?

I think I should install the ClockWorkMod tool in my device first but I think I did not install success.
I have used the Easy Flash Tool (DOS) to root my device but it did not sucess.
My ROM seems not in the list.

The currently ROM in my device is HMJ37.01.3
    And what is the MTP?

That is not the full ROM build number. Please provide it. Check if the Universal Easy Flash Tool has your ROM build. MTP is Media Transfer Protocaal. It is used so you can access the Thrives memory via File Manager.

    Hi dalepl
Finally, I have rooted my tablet success.
But why that my storage space reduced to 3GB? The original space should be 8GB.
    My version is HTK55D.31.5.0008.

Are you talking about the 3gb of app storage? We are all punished with that, although you can move the majority of that to 'sd' storage.

yea, the internal storage will only 3GB. It is strange.
The only solution is using the SD card to replace the internal storage.

Toshiba gave us a fix for the 3GB app limit with ICS, "shared storage". While not perfect, it is a major improvement.
