New to Tablets...Win 7 will not recognize Thrive "7"

Just got my Thrive "7" inch and was excited!! My computer will not recognize it! Spent 1 Hour 45 Minutes with Toshiba and was told my Thrive is not compatible with my Windows 7 64 bit OS. Help, please say it isn't so. . Any Help Would Be Greatly appreciated....

What do you mean by not recognized? Windows Media Player 11 loads Media Transfer Protocal (MTP) drivers that should allow you to access the internal and external memory of the device. It should show up in the Windows File Manager. It will show up as AT1S0 in the File Manager.

What cable are you plugging into the Thrive and which port?

I'm not familiar with Win 7, but what shows when you open My Computer (I assume Win 7 still has that)? When you plug it in, are you expecting a little window to open and ask you what you want to do?

Is this the mini-USB connection? Or the cable used to charge?
Found my signature file, but it appears to be empty...

Well, I'll assume it's not showing there or My Computer or Windows Explorer/Computer. I can't believe it's not compatible, so I'd try a different computer to rule out a problem with the USB port or cable.
