Trouble with text input for forum message

My thrive tablet will allow me to start a post by inputting info on the subject line but all the text option buttons and the message body area do not respond to touch or keyboard input. If I use a PC or iPad the problem goes away. My os version is 3.2.1 . HELP!

Hi oldshep. On the Thrive people often mention having some trouble or another with the post boxes. When this occurs, most have found that going into your forum settings, and changing the editor to the basic version, as opposed to the advanced one, will alleviate the issue.

I have to run out for a few minutes. See if you can find those options to change. If you have trouble locating them, I, or someone else, will give you detailed instructions on how to find it. The settings button is at the top right of your screen.

In case you haven't found it yet:
Settings (top right side of forum page)
On the left panel, Under 'My Account' tap 'General Settings'
Scroll down the main, larger section of the page to 'Miscellaneous Options' and change the option to either standard or basic.

I had issues when using the 'enhanced' option. Standard works well for me. You may have to try each option to see which works best for you.

Let us know if this doesn't help

Or, simply get Tapatalk (free version)
Much simpler and quicker. A bit more cumbersome for Moderating, but in general pretty darn good...

more accurately, setting the editor version to basic was the solution I used.

Good to hear, oldshep I remember what a frustration that was. As Dan mentioned, though, at some point you may want to look at trying Tapatalk for forum perusing.
I use a combo of browser and Tapatalk. Whatever works for ya
