    No way no how!
Welcome aboard, Sami60! I, too, am over the hill as they say and am loving my Thrive. I use it everyday, take it with me when we travel. In many ways I like it better than my trusty Toshiba laptop. I am on the stock ICS and like it, although it is a deadend street if I want to root. Haven't felt the need as yet. Bought a 'cheapy' Pipo 7" Android tablet with Jelly Bean 4.1.1. It's fast, stable, and competes well with the Nexus except for its weak battery. I went ahead and rooted the device as to be able to play with it a bit. I still keep coming back tobthe Thrive for the larger screen. There's a wealth of information here on the forum and spending a little time here daily with a cuppa coffee willget you educated quickly!

    8 GB Thrive 10, rooted with DaleNet's ICS 4.04
Samsung Tab 2 7" for the wife (Tech envy)

Previous tab 10" Viewsonic with VeganTab which constantly failed.
Now life's great now with the Thrive, but . . .
" I'd rather be in La Antigua, Guatemala!"
