Hello, I have a Thrive with build HTK55D.31.5.0002. I installed the Fastboot Restore tool first and did a full backup, I then applied the update.zip. Everything seemed to go well. On reboot, it hung on the initial Toshiba boot screen. I let it go for over an horn but it never progressed. I restored from my backup and tried again with the same results, once again restoring from my backup. I did have some problems unzipping the download with windows 7 native zip utility so I downloaded and installed 7 zip to uncompress it. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or not.... Help.

I recommend that you use WinRar, but 7Zip is also good. Also, redownload the file and do check the MD5 to be sure it is not corrupted.

    I updated to
HTK55D.31.5.0002 via service station on my woot purchased thrive. I want to just root it for now and do a backup. What should I do first. I have rooted and flashed many roms on my droid. But this one is illusive. Please help. Can I just boot to recovery and install this zip?

Another issue: I cannot get adb to work on my windows 7 laptop. Keep poping us AT100 drive. When I run adb.exe it will say nothing found.?

To root HTK55D.31.5.0002 use this tool: http://www.thriveforums.org/forum/da...root-tool.html for ADB drivers try these: [Drivers] USB ADB Driver Installation Package

My main issue now is the ADB not connect. I'm using win7 32-bit. Is that the issue? I installed batfish's ADB package for win7. I have checked "USB debugging". Every time I plug in the thrive, the Autoplay AT100 window pops up asking if I want to browse the files on the thrive. ADB devices, shows nothing.

    Batfish,
Thanks. I tried it on a XP machine and it works. Somehow Win7s ADB is not connecting.
