Cool [Tool] DaleNet Thrive Boot Animation Loader

Thrive Boot Animation Loader - This is for all Thrive ROMs!

This release of DaleNet Thrive Boot Animation Loader will allow you to flash new boot loader files to you device. It currently has the "Android - Apple Boot Animation" in it (found here: Android - Apple boot animation.). To load any boot animation, all you need to do is replace the bootanimation.zip file that is located in the /system/media folder in the update.zip file. No other changes are required. Install your new boot animation with ClockWorkMod like you would install any Mod or ROM.

    - INSTRUCTIONS -

NOTE: Please do a complete system backup before installing any boot animation. If you have a problem when loading, you will then be able to restore your device to the way it was before you attempted to install the boot animation. Thank you.
To install this ROM, do the following:

You will need to have ClockWorkMod Recovery flashed to your device.
    1. Power down your device.
    2. Unzip the file and copy the update.zip to the root of your external SD card.
    3. Boot the device into ClockWorkMod Recovery.
    4. Select APPLY UPDATE FROM SDCARD.
    5. Select EXTERNAL SD CARD.
    6. Select YES - INSTALL /SDCARD-EXT/UPDATE.ZIP.
    7. Watch the boot animation install (if you can, it is fast) on your device.
    8. When completed, select REBOOT SYSTEM NOW.
    9. Enjoy the new boot animation.

Do I rename it to Update.zip or do I leave it named updater.zip and choose .zip on CWM?

EDIT: Did you fix it? I redownloaded it and now its named Update.zip.

You do not have to rename anything just put the updsate on the root of your SD card, boot into Clockwork and flash and that is all you need do. Reboot and enjoy the new boot animation.

That was a fat finger on my behalf. I have already corrected it, but no, you do not have to rename it. As Moe said, just select the file from your SDcard and install. If you feel more comfertable, you can rename it to uptate.zip like the instuctions reference.

Thanks guys, I figured the instructions had to be right but when I saw it was named updater.zip that threw me for a sec. Figured I'd ask just in case since it could theoretically be either way.
BTW, I rebooted my Thrive about ten times to show it off to my freinds giggling the whole time! Tee-Hee!

It is rather cool, I only wish I had some apple fanboys to show it to, a good jab now and then for Android!!!! When you can do things like this, it is almost like getting a new toy!!!
