    Out of my element.

Can anyone direct me to a complete set of instructions that will instruct me on how to install drivers, root, flash, etc. my thrive, I am new to this forum and to the task of jail breaking a device (i believe that's the term used) I have installed SDK and ADB on my windows 7 computer, don't know what to do with it, also I guess I need flash boot and clockworkmod, and clockworkmod recovery and i am sure there are many more things needed to have complete control of this device. So I will need all the instructions, tools etc to accomplish and would prefer not to have to spend hours surfing the site for each individual theme. Is there a complete video or site that takes you through the process from start to finish with the available links for all of the tools and in the order that these steps should be taken in order not to mess up the device beyond use?
Thank you for anyone who responds.
I would be willing to pay someone to do all of this as an option.

Every bit of information is in the OP of the Universal Easy Flash Tool.
If you read it thoroughly, following the instructions to the letter, that's all that you should need. Most members have used it successfully.

    No way no how!
If you get frustrated or end up bricking the device, you can pm dalepl and he will help you. I stayed stock for a long while and Paul rolled back my Thrive from the stock ics to Honeycomb and then I rooted and applied his ics. I highly recommend!

    Best of luck to you.

    8 GB Thrive 10, rooted with DaleNet's ICS 4.04
Samsung Tab 2 7" for the wife (Tech envy)

Previous tab 10" Viewsonic with VeganTab which constantly failed.
Now life's great now with the Thrive, but . . .

Bricked thrive. Rooted and installed CWM and froze at boot screen. Am able to get into CWM recovery. Did Wipe data/factory reset and tried to flash two ROMs and both fail. goes to INSTALLING UPDATE then to INSTALLATION ABORTED. Unfortunately due to Factory reset there is no OS on tablet. Maybe I need to repair boot?

That's generally the error you get if you don't unzip dalepl's ROM and extract the "update.zip", placing the "update.zip" file, intact, onto your SD card. (archive contains 2 files, the readme and the update.zip)
