    [root tool][public beta]ICS 4.0.4 rooting for 10" Thrive

    What device is this for?
    Original Toshiba Thrive 10" tablet.

    What device isn't this for?
Thrive 7, Any Excite, or any other phone or tablet in the world..

    What is this?
This is your ticket to freedom. Your opportunity to do what you wanted on your device. The opportunity to run that magical Linux program.

    What ISN'T this?
A guarantee to get everything the way you want it.

    Who is this for?
Those that need full back-ups of their data. Those who wish to install Jelly Bean.

    Who ISN'T this for?
The faint of heart. Those who refuse to accept responsibility for their actions.

    What does it do?
Flash the unlocked bootloader. Install su and busybox.

    What DOESN'T this do?

    Make you rich.

Instructions are pretty straightforward: Run rootme.bat if on Windows, rootme.sh if on Linux/potentially Mac.

Re: [root tool] [public beta]ICS 4.0.4 rooting

    Anyone successful with this version?
Previous one had ADB working fine, this one does not.
If I type "ADB devices" in a command Window the Thrive shows up, yet, if I run the batch file (in the same folder) ADB shows as invalid command.
Tried running the batch file as 'administrator' and not.
Haven't taken the batch file apart yet to check paths.
Win 7 Home Premium/64 Intel Core i3 8G RAM if it matters.

Hey, do you want me to download what is on git and upload it as a zip to my site? That way we can make the download link active. I figure a few people might be confused on how to download this tool.

This is assuming that the tool works. Unless fixed, I will try it tonight and help troubleshoot the problem.

I think it works, but it won't be hard to fix it.

Found a direct zip download. Editing the wiki for it.

*OK, it's in the Discussion, but.... It's there.

It's not working currently. There's a couple script errors and the adb needs changing (somehow this one doesn't support the 'restore' command)

I added the link to the main page.... Let me know when you have a new one to update it. However, there seems to be some adb issues. I can confirm tonight though.

Well, the link is a direct download from the repo, so it should automatically update.

Just a quick look at the rootme.bat file and there are no paths to the roottool directory (which has adb busybox, su, recovery.img, etc.).
Found my signature file, but it appears to be empty...
